NCEDC staff will continue to partner with city and county economic development
representatives to assist primary employers in the county. NCEDC’s assistance includes facilitating meetings with local governments, brokering incentives, and financial assistance packages for businesses as well as referring additional resources available to assist companies.
Break out of the 32 industries expanding:

NCEDC successfully surveyed over 50 primary employers this year. This year NCEDC secured several volunteers and partnered with the Fort Collins Area Chamber Commerce to gather volunteers to survey Larimer County’s primary employers. The Chamber and NCEDC provided 25 business professionals
who interviewed 50 of Larimer Count’s primary employers from March through September of this year. In the future, we intend to run the survey program for
ten months on an annual basis from January through October.

Colorado vNet:
High Tech Manufacturing company off ering audio products & solutions as well as a leader in the custom high-end building automation market announced its retention and expansion project in 2008 adding additional 366 employees over next five years.
KL&A:
Structural engineering fi rm with revolutionary design and building processes announced their expansion in 2008 adding an additional six employees.
Woodward Governor:
Announced the addition of a new wind turbine inverter production line in northern Colorado in 2008 will be adding an additional 100 employees.
Ensign Power Systems Inc.:
Designs, tests and manufactures custom power systems for the defense industry announced new facility expansion 2008 and adding an additional 10 positions
