Our Mission
Sustain and enhance the economic vitality of
Northern Colorado while maintaining our environment
and quality of life through the preservation and
creation of primary jobs.
Our mission will be accomplished in these three ways:
- Attracting new business and industry to Northern Colorado
that will create
high-wage primary jobs.
- Assisting existing primary business and industry with growth and expansion
plans through a pro-active business retention and expansion program.
- Creating a business environment conducive to innovation and growth for
primary businesses in collaboration with partner agencies. Meeting our mission has been sucessfully implemented through real public private partnerships involving government and education along with the private sector.
Our Purpose & Focus
Who we are:
The Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation is an effective,
private,
not-for-profit 501(C)(6) corporation serving nine jurisdictions in Larimer County.
Local and regional businesses provide over 90% of our funding with
the balance
from local government entities.
What we do:
Our services support primary employers, both existing in our region and
new companies
looking to relocate to our region. Our staff works with strict confidentiality on each project and at no cost to the employer, to assist in
every aspect of business relocation or expansion. We ensure a timely
response and quick follow-through.
How we do it:
NCEDC attracts businesses who offer highly skilled positions at high wages with benefits,
to retain and expand existing businesses in our region, and to create a business
environment conducive for innovation and entrepreneurism. These goals are
accomplished by implementing an aggressive business prospect program,
developing strong relationships with the existing Northern Colorado business
community, and fostering the NCEDC brand.
Our Partnerships
To maintain a competitive edge over other regions, we work diligently to support existing
partners and build
new relationships with organizations looking to get involved in economic development. NCEDC coordinates
with all organizations
that are involved in economic development:
Municipalities, County Government, State of Colorado, Workforce Centers, Economic Development Organizations, Non-Profits, Realtors, Developers, Arts & Cultural Organizations, Natural Gas, Water, Electricity, Chambers of Commerce, K-12, Community Colleges and Universities.
To build a strong economy, we provide a variety of resources to support current
and potential Northern Colorado businesses as they consider expansion or relocation within their community or throughout Larimer County.
