Something For Everyone

The climate and setting of Northern Colorado are both ideal for outdoor recreation activities. Rocky Mountain National Park frames the area to the west and offers visitors a variety of choices. Clean air, clear water and pristine mountains beckon residents of Northern Colorado to indulge in a long list of activities. Backpacking at Bear Lake near Estes Park, mountain biking along the Devil’s Backbone, hiking around Horsetooth Rock, skiing in the Eldora Mountain Resort, camping near the Poudre River, fishing and fly fishing, golfing, skiing, skating, swimming, rafting and boating draw people outdoors in Northern Colorado. Outdoor activities include open-air concerts during the summer, as well as festivals such as the Annual Diversity Event in March and the ever-popular Colorado Beer Festival, which are sponsored by local vendors or organizations.

Then, when they tire of playing outdoors, Northern Coloradans head in for an equally long list of indoor activities that includes a wide selection of restaurants, clubs, galleries, museums, indoor recreation facilities, boutiques and shopping malls.

Local Weather

The Northern Colorado region is located in north central Colorado in the shadows of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Moderate temperatures, low levels of humidity, and abundant sunshine provide an ideal climate for year-round activities.
