Enterprise Zone State Tax Credit: Enterprise Zone Tax Credits are provided to NCEDC Investors for promoting job creation. The NCEDC is a Certified Enterprise Zone Project, which entitles investors to receive a Colorado State Tax Credit for their participation in building a better economic future for Northern Colorado. The Enterprise Zone system allows you to take advantage of a Colorado State Tax Credit of 25% of your cash investment or 12.5% of any in-kind investment. We prepare and submit the necessary forms and return them to our local Enterprise Zone Administrator for certification. Note: for Federal income tax purposes, NCEDC investments are tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.
Confidential Services: The NCEDC is a one-stop resource center for companies interested in remaining/expanding in or relocating to the Northern Colorado area. The NCEDC refers clients to the proper sources and coordinates the work of multiple agencies on behalf of clients. Services are available to Leadership 2010 Investors, including site selection; coordination of funding from local, state and federal sources; workforce development; international assistance and marketing and public relations.
Leadership Opportunities: The NCEDC is the region’s only private/public partnership that enhances wealth creation by marketing the Northern Colorado area and helping employers retain and create quality jobs. Leadership 2010 Investors have an opportunity to serve on the NCEDC solutions teams, as well as be nominated to the 15-seat board of directors.
Committees: There are three solutions teams to help create a more positive business environment for employers and advance the vision of NCEDC. Their contributions are extremely helpful, as committee members advise from their unique perspectives as well as broaden discussions and considerations about how to achieve goals. One or more individuals from Leadership 2010 Investor organizations are invited to serve on the solutions teams.
Special Events: Leadership 2010 Investors are invited to attend events that feature presentations by industry experts, including the Annual Meeting, as well as NCEDC client announcements (groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, etc.).
Referrals: While assisting growing and relocating companies, the NCEDC is often able to refer company inquiries to Leadership 2010 Investors and provide direct introductions between investors for business development opportunities.
Leadership 2010 Quarterly Progress Report: Leadership 2010 Investors will receive a quarterly report, tracking results against performance measures defined for each strategy.

In addition to the benefits described above, organizations investing in the Leadership Council will receive:
Quarterly Meetings: A seat on the Leadership Council that meets three or four times per year to discuss regional issues and allocate resources from the Emerging Opportunities Fund towards mutually-agreed-upon, forward-thinking initiatives that will propel positive change for the future landscape of the region. Possible investment strategies that the Leadership Council may consider include: (1) projects to move and shape public opinion on sensitive issues relating to the region’s capacity to grow such as infrastructure, education funding or other public policy opportunities; (2) focused efforts to remove stubborn or difficult barriers to growth and (3) large-scale projects that capture the community’s imagination and enhance quality of life for the entire region. {NOTE: In 2005, this fund has allocated its annual resources of $150,000 towards supporting the Regional Economist partnership with Colorado State University. If additional initiatives require resources, funding will be made available only if the NCEDC budget allows.}
Regional Media Plan: Leadership Council Investors will receive special recognition throughout the five years of the Leadership 2010 campaign, including mentions in print, television and online media.
