Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Companies both large and small occupy Northern Colorado. The area supports a dynamic mix of industries, including beverage and brewing, financial service, education, health services, and technology.
NCEDC partners with several entities that support innovation and Entrepreneurship. For example, the Rocky Mountain Innovation Initiative (RMI2) represents an important NCEDC partner. RMI2, is a regional non-profit formed to accelerate the success of high impact scientific and technology start-up companies in Northern Colorado. RMI2 promotes a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region and provides a connection point between entreprenuers, capital, academic and government institutions, professional service providers and workforce talent. The Initiative was formed by an alliance of Northen Colorado municipal governments, academic institutions and economic development organizations.

Our lucrative economy attracts a young, diverse, and gifted workforce to Northern Colorado. These employees are one of the reasons Colorado earned an 'A' for development capacity and another 'A' for business vitality in the Development Report Card for the States released by the Corporation for Enterprise Development in 2006.
NoCoEntre.Net is the premier environment for new and seasoned business people to share ideas, offer coaching, make connections, find partners, share resources and create financing. The group fosters the development of new businesses in Northern Colorado, and aims to be a significant driver of new job creation in the region.
